National Museum of The Us Air Force

The National Museum for the U.S. Air Force added a fourth hangar to the prestigious, national museum for the U.S. Air Force, located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. SGM was selected to provide LEED Fundamental & Enhanced Commissioning throughout design and construction.
The fourth hangar is the home for NASA’s first Crew Compartment Trainer (CCT-1), Presidential Aircraft, XB-70 Research and Development exhibit, Global Research Aircraft, C-141 Hanoi Taxi and many other aerospace vehicles. The hangar includes 14 structural bays and connects to the Museum’s existing Hall of Missiles. It also features a prefinished insulated seamed metal enclosure that meets the energy requirements for the envelope.
This project was completed LEED Silver Certification.
