OCCC Food Service Renovations

SGM provided mechanical, electrical, low voltage, plumbing, and fire protection design for the Hall C Food Court Kitchen, Hall D Food Court Kitchen, Hall B Food Court/Kitchen, Hall A Food Court/Kitchen, North Concourse Bakery/Dishwashing, North Halls A&B Dining Cafes at the Orange County Convention Center.

  • Mechanical scope included devices to accommodate ceiling replacement, new thermostats/temp/humidity sensors, new dampers, new branch ducts from existing mains.
  • Electrical scope included new LED lighting, lighting controls, connections to new/replaced kitchen equipment, data/power modifications for POS, data/power for menu boards, sales boards, provide GFCI protection for all 120V, 20A circuits within the kitchen space (NEC requirement), and modifications to fire alarm/communications/CCTV where needed.
  • The plumbing scope included new sanitary piping, floor drains, domestic water lines, gas, etc. to accommodate layout and equipment changes.
  • Fire protection included new branch sprinkler lines and heads to accommodate the ceiling changes.
