Winter Park High School Comprehensive

SGM provided comprehensive MEP/FP, technology, and security systems design for a campus-wide OCPS modernization project to improve energy efficiency, security, and learning environments. SGM’s scope of work included:

• Chiller Plant Overhaul: Replaced water-cooled chillers with a new air-cooled chiller plant, variable primary pumping, and associated mechanical room piping.
• HVAC & Controls: Upgraded AHUs, FCUs, and VAVs with bipolar ionization, MERV 13 filtration, and integrated a new campus-wide building automation system (BAS).
• Electrical & Lighting: Upgraded electrical service, replaced parking lot and roadway lighting, and designed new theatrical/studio lighting and campus-wide lightning protection.
• Network & Technology: Modernized the IT backbone with single-mode fiber, Cat 6 cabling, campus-wide wireless access points (WAPs), and upgraded classroom AV.
• Security & Fire Life Safety: Installed a new voice evacuation fire alarm, IP-based CCTV surveillance, and secure sally port access controls.
• Plumbing Repair: Performed underground sanitary camera scoping, replaced defective sanitary lines, and upgraded plumbing fixtures with tempered water lines.
