Kennedy Space Center Energy Improvement/LEED Certification-OSB II
SGM was the Prime Contractor for design and sustainability services involving Energy Improvements and LEED EBOM Silver Certification of the Operations Support Building II at Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, FL. This project utilized EnergyStar7 per LEED EBOM certification.
The OSB II is 189,000 square foot, six-story facility constructed in 2005 and serves as office, training and meeting areas for NASA at the Launch Complex 39 area. The primary function of the facility is office space with 784 permanent office areas. The facility also has 16 training rooms, computer rooms, multimedia conference rooms, a 300-person Mission Conference Center
with an observation deck and a catering kitchen.
SGM provided A/E design services with Architects, Engineers and LEED Administration partners. Design services included
preparation of construction documents and drawings specified by NASA.
