MEP/FP Engineering and Construction Administration
Olympia High School Comprehensive
SGM provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) design and construction administration services for the comprehensive renovation of Olympia High School, located at 4301 South Apopka Vineland Road in Orlando, Florida. The campus-wide project renovates and remodels existing facilities to meet Orange County Public Schools’ Design Guidelines, current educational program requirements, and applicable life-safety and accessibility standards.
The scope addresses existing deficiencies and upgrades building and site systems, facilities, finishes, and infrastructure that are at or approaching the end of their useful lives. Existing spaces are also being remodeled to better support the school’s current academic and operational programs while improving system reliability, energy efficiency, occupant comfort, safety, and long-term maintainability.
Because construction is occurring on an occupied campus, the project requires carefully coordinated phasing to maintain safe and continuous school operations. SGM’s work includes coordination of the temporary utilities, facilities, and classrooms needed to support each phase while minimizing disruptions to students, faculty, and staff.
