Orange County Fire Rescue Emergency Operations Center

The scope of this project included the renovation of an existing facility of approximately 3,000 square feet, with SGM as a subconsultant. Elements of the scope included:
» Produced a unique and functional redesign of the existing layout for the existing Emergency Operations Center
that addresses the County’s needs within budget and schedule
» Produced detailed and fully coordinated architectural and engineering designs, construction drawings and
specifications
» Obtained any necessary approvals and permits from the Orange County Building Safety Department, and all other
authorities having jurisdiction
» Developed fully coordinated and accurate biddable documents for construction
» Developed a Cost Estimate including both “hard costs” and “soft costs” at 60%documents. The “hard costs”
included the Permitting, building construction, site development, and any central energy plant which houses the
exterior equipment such as the emergency generator(s), HVAC systems, fuel tanks and pumps, etc. The “soft
costs” included professional fees, FF&E allowances, technology allowances, utility connection fees, mitigation bank
fees (if required), etc.
